There once was a time I considered myself to be a bit of an amateur photographer. Now, when travelling, I prefer not to stand out like a gawking tourist, but I still try to capture the moment here and there. I have a whole slew of photographs from several trips, covering Australia, Europe, Hawaii, and 45 of the 48 contiguous states. I hope to gradually scan in a lot of these, though admittedly, I've been saying that for four or five years now.

For my most recent vacations, however, I've been planning from the outset to post stories and photographs of each trip. The result is the full-length photo-journals on this site. There are currently two journals, consisting of notes I jotted down while travelling (and later dressed up), decorated with photos and souvenirs. The ones available now depict the trips my girlfriend and I took to England and Scotland in 1999, and to Kauai in 2001 (coming soon). You can view either journal with or without photos. They're a bit on the long side, but I think you'll still find them entertaining and scenic. (The length buys me some more time to get other material posted here, too.)
