Guest Bedroom —
Then there's the other half of the bonus room, with a bed and separate entrance to the lower deck, leading down to the back yard.

Master Bedroom —
After the initial unpacking, we've added some color to our room (okay, a lot of color) with this handmade quilt from Guatemala.

Taking in the View —
Gwen perches on the back of the chair and watches the birds in our trees. I refuse to let Erin throw the ancient chair away: Gwen would never forgive us.

Bubba Protests —
Bubba stages a sit-in to protest our disruptive painting, as we attempt to change the greenish-gray textured wall into something a little more appealing.

 |
Oops —
We should have listened to Bubba. You should be seeing a medium-slate gray with blue speks. It just looks white to us. (There will eventually be a do-over.)

 |
Nook —
The area to the other side of our kitchen, which we think of as a future "breakfast nook", is mostly empty space, separated by a small love seat where Bubba likes to soak in the morning sun. Note the replacement light fixture, which matches the one in the dining room.

 |
Shelves —
The final missing component of our house, which arrived only two days before our housewarming party, was a set of shelves for the family room. Finally, a place to show off our knick-knacks!

 |
Mug Frenzy —
Yes, Keith still has his Starbucks City Mug collection. This is actually only a subset of them. We ran out of room to display the rest.
|
 |
Family Room —
The shelves do a lot to fill out the family room, so it actually seems like a place you might want to sit and read, or just take a short nap. (It obviously worked for Bubba.) And with the last of our boxes unpacked onto these shelves, it's finally time to party!
