Home for a Night —
Erin feeling very tall in front of our room for the night, at the house of Francisco's brother and/or father (one person).

It's Another Taquile Sunrise —
Light creeps through the clouds over Bolivia at 5am to create a sight
inspiring enough to make Erin dash with her camera into the chilly
morning wearing only her underwear, and to make Keith sit up in bed
long enough to say "Wow. Cool." before going back to sleep.

 |
Taquile Highway —
A "major intersection" of footpaths (this is as paved as they get) connecting various places on the island with other places nobody wants to go to.
|
 |
Taquile Terraces —
It amazes us how every square inch of terrain on this island is terraced for farming, so much so that there isn't even a soccer field anywhere!

 |
Backstrap loom —
An old Taquile man demonstrates the operation of his backstrap loom...for a price, of course.

 |
Backstrap Loom —
Another view of the backstrap loom an old man uses to fashion a new belt for his son. With this traditional method, it would take weeks to build a simple accessory, which is why When the tourists aren't looking, he most likely uses a Singer.

Standing Ruin —
Keith holding up the remnants of a pre-Incan archway and its adornment.
|
 |
Pre-Incan Ruin —
An old dwelling believed to be some form of temple used by the people inhabiting the island before the Incans. Then the Incans came, and it just became a hangout for Incan teenagers drinking chicha.

Look Out, Lara Croft —
Erin looking very Lara Croft-like amidst the ruins (and non-ruins, though you'd never know) of Taquile.
